WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Strong experience (e.g., 5+ years) in backend software development with Go (Golang),
  • Proven experience writing production-ready services in Go, with a solid understanding of concurrency, memory management, performance tuning,
  • Proficiency in Python for backend tooling, automation or data-related tasks,
  • Strong SQL skills: database design, complex queries, optimisation and experience with relational databases,
  • Solid understanding of software engineering best practices: design patterns, testing (unit/integration), CI/CD, version control,
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, DevOps, data),
  • Good communication skills and project-management mindset—comfortable owning end-to-end modules,
  • Experience in a high-growth / fast-changing environment, with a test-and-learn mindset and iterative approach.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Design, develop and maintain backend services and APIs in Go (Golang),
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions,
  • Write clean, efficient, testable code and ensure robust system architecture and performance,
  • Use Python for scripting, automation, data pipelines or auxiliary backend tools,
  • Work with SQL databases: design schema, write complex queries, perform optimisations, ensure data integrity,
  • Participate in code reviews, mentoring, and contribute to engineering best practices,
  • Monitor, profile and improve system performance, scalability and reliability,
  • Troubleshoot, root-cause and resolve production issues,
  • Drive continuous improvement, identify technical debt, and propose/implement enhancements.
